For those operating the IO540 D4A5, are you installing both hinged alternate door on the front of the box and the emergency air door on the bottom of the box?

I just installed the one on the bottom of the Box. This is just in case the air filter is blocked by ice or anything else.

David I installed both mainly because I had the alternate air installed and the original magnetic filter bypass when the AD for the magnetic filter bypass came I ended up with both .If I was doing it again I would only fit the filter bypass.

Make sure you are aware of vans servce bulletin to replace the hinge on the alternate air.My engine ingested the magnet.No damage but scary.
