If you send your to Desser to recap it takes 4 weeks but only costs $90 per tire instead of the 300+ for their new ones. I use the 5/600x6 for my nose wheel and that recap is only $86.

 Recently ordered new tires for my Yak52. Desser is not a cheap source for the 500/150

 and 400/150 tires used on a Yak/CJ. Is there a western equivalent that

 fits our planes that doesnt cost 3X what a Bonanza or Cessna tire costs?

 Unfortunately, Desser is the only source that Im aware of where you can buy 500x150

 and 400x150 tires and tubes. 

 Dont forget to ask them for retreaded tires. If they have them, they are much less

 expensive and last 3 times as long.

Make sure you wrap them tightly in several layers of plastic wrap before you store them so they don’t dry rot.  That will give them a longer shelf life.
