While everyone is off having a great time, I've been here hammering out my Tailwind, and I have a few questions:
I extended the forward bay 2" for more leg room, and more fuel.  Tailwind Times #1 says place the axles 8" behind the firewall.
I think the axle placement should be right below the leading edge of the wind, so with the firewall extension, should I place the axles 10" behind the firewall ?

Should I build the engine mount 0º  and 0º, or should I have a little down thrust, and a little right thrust, and how much ?

The plans for the tailwheel show the wrap around piece that supports the tailwheel axle, to be .090".  I think Jim C. makes it in two pieces, and welds it down the forward part, as well as on the inside, then puts the top gusset on.  In my notes, someone suggested using .100" for this.  I have enough .090" to complete the tailwheel, but I haven't got any .100".  Should I order some .100" ?

Chuck, I believe you should maintain the 8 inch trail measured from
the firewall. regards, Jerry
