Netheads,
I made a trip/vacation down to Nags Head NC to pick up a canopy from Debo Cox for my Zodiac XL. Debo and I started scratch building about the same time fall 2005. Debo is a Park Ranger down at Jockey Ridge and had no metal working background when he started. We watched each others progress over the years and I must say I was quite impressed with what he seemed to be achieving, take a look at his kitlog site http://mykitlog.com/debo and you will begin to understand what I am talking about.
Debo made a sweet deal on a Todds Canopy awhile back and he posted it for sale on E-bay. I bought it and looked at the cost of shipping it or just driving down and getting it, it was about the same and I really wanted to see his plane with my own eyes. He has decided to go another way, He now has a Greyhound Bus ground pounder problem (RV only not flight worthy). He is going to be selling his Zenith Zodiac CH 601 XL and I thought you guys might like to know something about the condition it's in.
Debo has done very meticulous work, as good as some of my better apprentices. His attention to the details and finish are as good as what comes from Zenith. I even told him it looked better than what factory produced.
