Mal, I thought you were getting yours directly from Skyshops and picking them up at Sun&Fun ?? I still haven't recd a $$ amt from Zaneta yet after a couple emails and a couple phone calls , will try again. I have about 20 sets spoken for.

Prior to the possibility of getting the properly designed part, several of us had decided that doubled strips of 063 6061 t6 about 3 " wide and bent in the middle to the hull angle would do the job but I don't think anyone built it yet. LOW&SLOW John

why not just use a strip of alum and screw or rivet it on so that it can be
changed easily ?

The keel strip we are talking about serves 2 functions, first it is the piece that joins the 2 forward bottom skins in the middle and second it provides a rub strip. It is a "Y" shaped affair with the upper "V" portion at the same angle as the hull bottom.
To answer your question, what you suggest is exactly what we were planning to do however the "Y" strip is already fabricated (extruded) and is lighter. John

I have aerocets and it has a flat bottom that screws on.

I have seen a canadian manufacturer that uses strips epoxied on and it
seems to work fine . http://www.clamarfloats.com/

Hey guys, we have four sets of keel extrusion coming in our next
container. It's $12 per foot. Special mill run. The factory really
doesn't want
to sell much of this so it's first come first serve. We can bring to
Sun'n Fun for pick up.

Danny
