Is this list pretty much dead? Haven't seen any posts here since I
rejoined a few days ago after a few years hiatus...

Yeah
It seems nobody uses this list.

I joined some years ago, and I never saw any important “movement” here.
I still monitor it, but I already finished building my -9A, which is now in flight tests.

Carlos

But where did everyone go? When I was last here (before divorce and a few moves), these lists were a pretty busy place to exchange information... Now they seem pretty dead, except for the -10 list, which has a few posts a day?

So, where did everyone go??? It can't be that quiet because of the economy, which everyone seems to blame for everything these days...

Forgot about the "do not archive" string... but it really should not
matter much, as there certainly is not an overload of messages anyway
at this point?

As someone else pointed out, the big activity is now on VAF. It seems

that most (not me...) prefer the web-based format of a forum.

Another thing that probably affects traffic is that the newer kits have
so many more prefabbed parts that people just don't need as much advice
as 'the old days'.

Fortunately, Matt keeps the archives alive.

The Do Not Archive is in consideration of people searching the archives.
Please add the DNA whenever appropriate.
I also have been following the RV-List for about 6 years and the traffic
is much less than pre-2008. Maybe the new match holes & pre-punching has
eliminated much of the assembly questions. And maybe Stein is making
everyone's panels so there you go! It is clearly NOT that people aren't
building RV's they are being pumped out at something like 10/week
globally. Heck Vans Hobbs just passed 7,200. Last week it was 7,202 and
now it's 7,212.
I got it! Everyone is building RV-12's. No need for the list.

When I was building, 2001 to 2004, there seem to be daily posts, questions,
ideas, answers and general great interchange. Perhaps folks have gone elsewhere
for free service or maybe there are not many building.

The AeroElectric list is very active.

There's rather little technical stuff peculiar to the -9 I suppose.

I'm glad to see so many responses here I thought this place was empty.
Maybe RV-9's are so easy to build no one needs help. Completed mine
in 2005 been flying ever since only problems were with nose gear before
AD.

RV-9s, maybe. But don’t ask me about the fuel lines on a -9A with fuel injection.
