The pre-drilled tie down point in the main wing looks to be to low down.

If you use the pre drilled holes the bottom of the tie down ring will be inside the wing sheeting. Is this the way every one has done it or have you moved it out one hole.

I ran into the same problem. I just moved it down one hole and put an L angle doubler behind the rib inline with the tie down holes to make up for the lost rivet. [quote][b]

I don't see the problem with where it is located. All ya do with it is thread a rope through to attach it to the earth. I would leave it alone or call Zenith for an explanation.

Roger at Zenith, has noted this before and said you can move it up one hole and then drill out three holes (every other) and put in 3/8 bolts and lock nuts. I chose to do this also because I had to put a spacer in to bring the tie down even with the precut slot and the rivets would not have been long enough. Also, these three bolts are stronger than all the rivets would have been.

Not quick build! the standard kit now has most parts pre cut / formed and drilled. What a great kit.

Wow... they have changed a bunch of stuff. Do you still need a drill and shears to build the kit? Smile

Correction to my tie down ring response. I said I used (3) 3/8 bolts. I meant (3) 3/16 bolts.
