				| Several people have written to me because they thought my comment about 
"thoroughly exploring the region around the stall" implied that I was
 suggesting that one go out and do this without any prior training or the
 assistance of a qualified instructor. Nothing could be further from the
 truth.
 
 Just to set the record straight:
 
 1. I believe the Yak-52 is an inherently safe aircraft when operated
 properly. It does not appear to have any bad habits.
 
 2. I believe that to properly and safely operate a Yak-52, as with all
 aircrfat, requires training from a qualified instructor.
 
 3. I would still be very comfortable in allowing my children to train in
 and then solo in a Yak-52.
