I have a supply of Kendall GT1, a 2-cycle ashless dispersant/detergent oil that meets NMMA TC-W, W3, WII standards. Is this an acceptable oil for use in my Rotax 503?
Thanks for the help,
Les

I think you will find that Rotax specifies an API-TC spec. oil. The TC-W,
WII and W3 oils are designed to be used in outboard motors where
temperatures are a lot lower in the cylinder head. The oils you mentioned
are supposed to have more ash than the API-TC rated oils. I'd use the
Pennzoil two stroke or the Bombardier XPS mineral. Actually I just changed
my 582 over to the Bombardier oil.

Thank you for your answer Noel.
Guess I have to get back into boating if I want to use this oil.
