After losing one hinge, and seeing numerous others failing, we had an identical hinge/bracket machined from a more substantial aluminum alloy.  I believe this was done on a computerized system, making dublication relatively easy.
 The owner of the aircraft (N122FS) has since put it up for sale, so I have no RECENT feedback on the durability of the new hinges.  They worked well for the last 30 hours or so while I was flying the aircraft.
