I have a JPI 800, and recently I have noticed the manifold pressure will become highly erratic after maybe 30 minutes of flight time. It is somewhat intermittent, and does not always demonstrate the same behavior.
I have looked at the hardware and do not see any obvious loose fittings - do you have any suggestions of how to go about trouble-shooting, and what the likely culprit might be?
Also, I recently had a bird strike which will require replacement of the vertical stabilizer - other than Fletcher, are there other reliable sources of replacement parts for my Tiger (it's a '79)?
Thanks,
Doug
