My 60 Amp alternator quite after 800+ hours in 14 years. I had it overhauled in a reputable shop with new brushes, bearings, part of the case and an internal regulator. It is a Denso clone Plane Power alternator. On the test bench in the alternator shop it runs a steady 14.5 volts with varying loads. In the airplane with Z12 architecture on the Skyview it runs 14.9 to 15 volts. what could be the reason for the high voltage indication in the aircraft?

The vast majority of electrical problems are due to bad connections.
Check all crimps and terminals for tightness and corrosion.
Don't forget to check ground wires also.
