curios if somebody on this list can help.
the owner of Yak i'm working on wants to add electric start. he bought a second hand set but the plate connecting starter mount to the front of the gearbox is missing so i have to machine it.
a good picture is all i need. unfortunately romanians or their rep would not help unless they profit.

It isn't quite that simple unless you have all the necessary parts. Firstly you need a special propeller shaft with longer studs to accommodate the starter motor ring-gear. Then of course the ring gear itself. And it is not simply a plate but a more complex machined adapter for the starter motor mounting. We make them with Aerometal, our partner in Hungary, but I'm afraid they are on holiday until January 2 so I can't get a photograph until then. But if you could send me an email I will get Aerometal to make a couple of photographs for you. Richard.
