Our CJ's airplane-right side middle exhaust section for our Housai engine needs to be replaced. Doug Sapp doesn't have one in stock and indicates it will be well over a month before he gets any new stainless assemblies.  Does anyone happen to have this section (in workable condition) laying around in your hangar from when you replaced your old stock exhaust with a stainless one?  If so, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. I would also welcome other ideas / suggestions.

Hi David;



I have some surplus stock of original NON stainless exhaust segments both 

new and used.  If you can confirm that the section you need is on the  RH 

side as viewed from the cockpit I will confirm for you.  A photo would be a 

good idea.

Walt - Thanks for the response.  Yes, the section I need is on the RH side as viewed from the cockpit.  I included a photo in my original post of both the part itself as well as the engine showing where the removed section is missing from - are you not able to view it?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post regarding our CJ's airplane-right side middle exhaust section for our Housai engine that needed to be replaced.  We were able to source a new-old-stock replacement and we are now back operational. The most time consuming part of the whole episode (other than finding the part) was removing the dried cosmoline and paper from the exhaust segment 😃
