Guys,

Here's another tip....

If you want less sag on your baggage door, use the extruded piano hinge instead of the one supplied in the kit. The extruded version is 4 times the cost but is much, much stronger! The supplied version in the kit has the eyelets rolled. As you can see from the pics, the extrusion has the eyelets closed.

Also, notice in the pictures the gap between eyelets. The extrusion has less than the rolled version.

I have almost 1000 hours on my RV8 and have replaced 3 eyelets on my cowl piano hinge so far. Vibration does a number on them. I will install extruded hinges on my RV10 cowl for sure!
