Hey guys, I thought you'd find this tidbit interesting...
Today I finally flew the box to verify my airspeed indication.
having the Gretz pitot, which I was one of the first to get,
always made me wonder how it would do, since it has a slightly
different shape. Today I found out I had a slight pitot
error, but I'm not sure if it was in the pitot tube,
or if it's because I haven't ever done a temperature
calibration on my OAT with my Chelton, or if it's because
I haven't done any airspeed calibration in any units.
At any rate, what I found was that after a very smooth
and level flight at the 4 cardinal headings, indicating
the same exact IAS and TAS, I plugged the numbers into both
an online java tool, and a spreadsheet, both available on
Kevin Horton's site:

What I found was that while I was leisurly bumming around
doing 130kts IAS, and 146kts TAS, that my actual TAS was
152.5. The Standard Deviation was 0.0, so the recording was
very exact and came out fantastic. I'm now going to have to
figure out if I can calibrate something better to make it
read more accurately, but even if it doesn't, it's nice to
know that the speeds I've been reporting are about 6kts
low in cruise.
