I just reviewed the Zenith photo guides for canopy installation. It had
been a while since I looked them over.
Their suggested plywood template bending and trial fitting technique is new
since I made my canopy. It makes
sense to me and looks easier with less possibility for error than the way I
did it.
Be sure to spend enough time to understand these before you start.
2 cent Tip from Gary's Book of Life:
Building an aircraft was all new to me.
The Canopy was one of the harder parts.
I did not always have the "Aha" type insight until I thought about the
problems for an extended
time. Some problems did not become clear until two weeks later. When this
happens think about it often and
work on something else while you give your subconscious mind more time to
develop the understanding.
This mental technique works for any heavy learning curve situation. You are
really programming your brain to work on the
problem in the background while getting other useful work done.
It avoids the feeling of frustration while you learn new skills.
Several times I did not wait long enough because I found a much better way
to do it later.
Although I am one better for it and harder to fool the next time, it does
make me wish I was smarter.
Enjoy
