If I install a current limiter, say an ANL80, should I still also install a conventional 60 or 70 amp circuit breaker in the alternator output? Or is that an unnecessary redundancy? If it's not necessary, is there any down side to having both, other than the additional minimal weight and cost?
Thanks for any input.

So the external shunt for my ammeter is also perfectly happy being under the cowl, with the leads to the instrument penetrating the firewall?
