Bob,
I had a Deltran Battery Tender Junior on my PC680 for years and it worked fine. I sold the plane and am not driving my car as often. The Tender Junior max charge is 750 Ma. When I put it on my car that was just driven it got too hot to touch in about 30 minutes. Is it too small for the higher capacity auto battery?
I like the specs on the Yonhan unit you showed in your last entry. I plan to install a plug accessible without raising the hood and putting longer wires with a plug on the unit. Do you think this is workable??
Thanks for all the help you have given over the years.

Hmmmm . . . let me see if I can duplicate your
observation. That seems a bit odd for so small
a charger. It should be current limited to some
value not hazardous to the charger.

(followup) just finished a quick test to see
if I can duplicate your observation. The BT
performed in a civil manner while barely
warming up to touch. I think your BT
is hosed.
