I wish to add a relay as per Bob Nuckolls drawing. I currently have the ground plug installed( Piper variety), but the plug centre positive terminal is live, so its easy to charge the battery aswell as jump start the engine if master is left on. If I add the extra Relay ( Ground Plug) with diodes and wiring as per Bob Nuckolls drawing, I can see jump starting will be ok when connected and ground power switch on. But, I cant see how connecting a battery charger to the postive and earth of ground plug will allow current to flow to the battery for charging. I have tried 2 differing chargers to activate the solenoid switch and found this did not work ,with one charger I used. Can you please advise me how I can use any battery charger to activate the ground plug relay to charge my LiFPO4 battery( usually after using Electrical gear in cabin on ground) thanks Jeff R Australia
