I'm looking for some advice on disposing of an abandoned project. It was going to be a tri-gear, and was started just prior to the introduction of the XS. I upgraded to the XS and think I received the replacement ailerons though for some reason lost in time the spars were sent back to the factory but not returned to me. I didn’t take delivery of the prefinished wing elements. Stage 1 was built and some bits of Stage 2, Stage 3 was not purchased. It’s a long time ago and my description might be wrong.

I lost my build partner and inspiration for the project many years ago and since then the project has been moved from house to house, with if I’m honest, a little less love each time. Whilst I believe all the components are there I can’t be sure and don’t have the appetite to check as we’re busy with the next house move.

So is an abandoned project of any use to anybody? I hate putting anything into landfill which might be of some use.

Any advice gratefully received.

All the best,

Dave

Here’s where I’m fuzzy. I took delivery of the original stage 2 wings (pre glider ones). Then upgraded to XS. Was the XS with preformed wings or am I having a senior moment ?
So I should have any blue form that was part of stage 2.

Dave,To my knowledge the pre XS had foam wings so you would have gotten the spars and a bunch of blue foam blocks.
The XS is delivered with prebuilt wings and only the rear top half skin was left off so you could do additional layups inside of the wing and install all the brackets pushrods etc. Still you would have gotten blue foam for the tailplane and rudder.

Hi Dave,

I’m also in Cheshire, and would certainly like to take a look if possible?
