Anyone off the top of their head know what size the instrument screws are on the L29. Redoing my panel and want to get new and #6/#8 don't fit the instruments. It was a crapshoot as I'm guessing they're metric but no idea what size.

Is this Z's 29?
Metric screws and Ace Hardware will have them even in stainless.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try some m5's. Yes this was Zach's L29 a few years ago.

It will take more than m5s to hold that together.

I'm not sure M5's are it. I'm talking about the screws that hold the instruments into the panel. 5's look kinda big

like I said, Home Depot. They sell a nice brass screw. Buy a tap and use the size you want.
I’ve done 74 cockpits. Trust me……. Paint them black if u like.

The screws you are looking for are M3.5 x 0.6, I have no idea why our comrades chose such an odd size, but you can get them on McMaster. I think some of the instruments use M3 or M4, but most of them are those odd M3.5s. I doubt you will find them at the local hardware store.
