heres the issue, maybe someone has seen it.

select gear down, left gear leg will stay in the well. select emergency gear dow, and it stays in the well, until I make a 2 g positive maneuver, then it comes down and locks.

: lots of fluid in the system (at the full mark),
: lots of nitrogen in the accumulators (90 showing)
I am thinking perhaps the gear control valve is sticking or faulty? but then again, I think the emergency system bypasses the valve, and if so, then the gear should immediately come down.

thoughts? comments? dirty jokes?

What color are the gear lights when you select down? Does it stay red?

Ok i'll try.

I told my blond girlfriend she coloured her eyebrows too high. She looked surprised.

From memory the emergency down bypasses all the control systems and supplies hydraulic fluid under pressure directly to the actuating mechanism. So, on the basis that neither systems down the left undercarriage, the fault must lie at the actuator, not in the control system.

The 2G's downing the undercarriage...probably when selecting gear down any locks are opened, and the 2G's are enough to allow it down. I had to do that in a seneca some years back, the backup system simply releases hydraulic pressure, and gravity is supposed to get it down and locked.

the gear lights on the gear that drop right away go to green, the left gear leg does not stay red, it just goes dark. At best, it might look like a really dim green, but that might be my old eyes... lol

In order for the light to go out, a micro switch must be activated. In the wheel well check the big uplock hook. See if you can turn it by hand. Some times it comes loose and may be binding thus the 2 g pull.
The green light is controlled by the micro sw on the landing gear actuator. It must be moving just enough to allow the light to go out. The red lights are controlled by the micro sw on the leading edge in the wheel well. The light going out indicates that the inboard gear door is opening.
