Hey guys,

Me again…

Has anyone ever found a suitable replacement for those “big slotted screws” that hold the wing band?

Unfortunately, my airplane slept outside quite sometime and there is a bit of rust around these screws.
They are the only ones I cannot find locally.
Any hints would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Dan

Petr,
I'm not sure. I sent a drawing this morning with the dimensions of the screw. Hopefully you can confirm if the screw is a 5x18mm

Does anyone have the part number or size of these screws? How about the screws that attach the fairing behind the wing band? My parts book has the illustration but the part number page(s) are missing.

Also, does anyone know where the center of gravity is for the tail section? My first time removing the tail and I want to make sure my cradle won’t tip rearwards

Wing straps screws are also used on the l39 on some access panels. So also available from l39 parts sources. They run from 50 cents to a buck a piece. Depends where you buy them. If I recall it takes about 220 screws total
