For everyone running K1 kerosene could you please tell me if there =
anything special I need to do, filtering it, running it, etc. I bought A =
100gal steel tank for the back of my truck and a 15gpm 12v pump. I put a =
fuel filter and a fuel/ water separator in line out of the pump before =
the filler hose. Is one of each enough??? The fuel/water separator is =
also a filter so I basically have 2 filters inline one of them that also =
removes water. Do i need to worry about anything running this stuff? =
does it change performance at all? At this time kerosene is $2.79 gal =
and jet A is 3.95/gal at my airport. Running K1 is the only way I can =
continue to fly. Am I better running diesel #1 or #2. Thanks in advance. =
I know this topic has been talked about several times but I wanted to =
make sure I got ans. to my specific concerns.

that's fine. You should not notice any difference. Diesel fuel is very
dirty so you don't want to run that. Putting in a gallon with a full tank is
good once in a while to add some lubricant to the fuel. I run Keosene most of
the time.

1 filter is enough. I've been storing and using K1 out of my 300 gal
fuel tanks for 4 years, I just replaced the filter this week for the
first time after about 3000 gallons. It was clean!

Just add some biocide every once in a while to kill the little
critters, also about once every 6 months, stick the filler into the
tank inlet and run it for about 20 minutes, this way any crap in the
fuel will become suspended and caught in the filter.
