Hi List,

I know the instructions call for drilling, but not riveting the fiberglass tips on the Stab. But after reading ahead, to ensure there is enough clearance for the elevator, should I wait to drill until after I complete the elevator???

thanks!

Peter

Peter,

If you follow the instructions, drilling the tips early will not be a problem. You could wait until you have the elevator installed if you have doubts. But you don't want to rivet the tips. There are two tooling holes in the outboard ribs that establish the horizontal "line" of the stabilizer. You will want those holes accessible when you drill the stabilizer mounting brackets. A line between those two holes should be parallel to the top longeron of the fuselage.
