I am getting ready to wire my flaps and have a question. According to my
drawings 1)the "up" micro-switch should be 12mm from the rear of the motor
housing; 2)the front of the "down" micro-switch should be 23mm from the rear
of the "up" switch; 3)the front edge of the "down" switch should be 63mm
from the rear of the motor housing.

My switches have a set screw that has a sealant painted over to prevent
movement and the distances are different. My distances are 1)17mm; 2)14mm;
3) 59mm. Since there is the sealant on the set screws I don't really know
whether I should change this or not. Have any of you had this problem?
Thanks in advance.

I had to fine tune the position of the switches to work with my
airplane, you will probably have to do the same since no two
homebuilts are exactly the same.

Skip,

I am in the process of aligning and calibrating my flaps right now. I built according to the plans and instructions. It seems there are enough tolerances and variations that it simply doesn't all come together perfectly every time. I have had to move the microswitch blocks and the nylon plates where the actuator horn pins insert in the last flap rib. Don't be concerned. Even though they are "paint safetied", they are adjustable for a good reason.
