A L-39 crashed near Las Vegas area killing two pilots.
Plane was owned by Dave Riggs I believe, but he wasn't in the aircraft.
Another very experienced pilot and a F-18 pilot were in plane.

Initial reports are CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain)

Group,

I just talked to Tom Weil (my airport manage, Californa City) and he said that
there was an L-39 crash in the local area yesterday. He had no further info.
I checked the FAA web site and found this:

http://www.faa.gov/data_statistics/accident_incident/preliminary_data/media/I_0227_N.txt
One of the post on the CJAA message board, says it may be Terry Fregely, flying
Dave Riggs aircraft. I guess we will have to wait and see who and what happened.
