So, Cessna wimped out and chose a Continental O200d (!) for their
new light sport.

The model of the aircraft at Osh2007 actually had no engine installed and
louvers blocking the intake vents

This choice was predictable. The Cessna Pilot Centers' instructor and
maintenance infrastructure has virtually no knowledge or
equipment/tools etc to support the Austrian Wunder-Engines. It would be
rather expensive on the front end to acquire that infrastructure and
additional on-going expense to properly support their S-LSA with the
Rotax engines in addition to the Lyc/Cont engines. It was an easy
choice for them. One thing that made it easier was the fact that they
were not the first S-LSA manufacturer to make this choice.
