It would seem that the O ring is not the problem. Must be damage to the head or rocker cover

If its a Rotax, why not buy a rocker cover O ring from Rotax!! It will take the guess work out of it.

I've seen that Duncan. Thats whats got me interested. My Arplast is getting unreliable. So I am interested in an alternative.

Is anyone using a Fiti inflight adjustable propeller. It looks a similar setup to the Arplast PV50. How have you found it and what sort of costs were involved with it?

I've had the aircraft a few years now. I've kept it inside for that time. But I dont know what happened before that. Its about time I had the hub apart and give it a good looking at.

If you read the article in your link the brass sleeve are still in the new floats. They are just shorter for the reasons given.
