Hi Rusty,

I've covered my Firestar II tandem with Oratex 600 (ultralight fabric) and it is only 9gm/sq ft versus about 20-90gm/sq ft measured by the Oratex dealer in Alaska on other painted fabrics ...

I've never used it, but I was going to try it on the fuselage of the Slingshot. Unfortunately, I could never get them to give me a price, and I'm afraid of how high it would have been also.

The story has always been that Kolb has them custom made by Lord. I'm not sure I completely believe that, but as far as I know, there's no cross reference to any existing Lord part number.

Greetings,

I'm just starting to collect parts for another project, and I'm considering using Kolb wings if possible. Firestar would probably be the best, but others may work. If anyone has a pair ...

Yep, looks like 5". Thanks,

Anything is probably useful information, but I'm more specifically looking for the lighter wings, since it would be for an ultralight project. Was the Twinstar a 6" spar, or 5"?

Has anyone weighed a complete, painted wing for a FireStar or FireFly? Just curious what it weighs for a possible future project.

Thanks,
